The Urbanizacion, whose first phase was started in 2000 has 177 houses, with a large proportion of them residential. We also boast a small commercial zone occupied so far by Monty’s Bar and restaurant and Studio Six Unisex Hairdresser and Beauty Salon.
There is a large children’s play area with swing park, football pitch, basket ball nets and petanque pitches. The communal pool adjoining the play area is an ideal size for the population and well maintained. The pool is open all year round we have some intrepid swimmers who like to take their daily excercise whatever the weather. A building, housing changing rooms, toilet facilities and a kiosk, are also in the Town Hall’s plans for the “Zona Recreativa”.
The Urbanizacion is about 5 minutes drive from La Finca Golf complex, 20 minutes from the beach at Guadamar and roughly the same from Torrevieja.
There is excellent schooling for all age groups with a school bus service 4 times daily to Algorfa.
There are local markets most days and a large Sunday Market within walking distance. A new Commercial Centre has been given planning approval and we are told will contain an Eroski supermarket, boutique shops and even cinema and bowling complexes. However this being Spain it would be a brave soul to say when it will be completed.
Whilst the majority of the houses are owned by British families we have a good mix of other nationalities living here including amongst others Spanish, German and Scandinavian.
We have residents who are golfers, bowlers (both petanque and traditional green varieties), walkers, cyclists, darts, pool and snooker players so we can point you in the right direction to most clubs or organisations for your interests or hobbies.
