We are making progress on the garden waste problem and should have a solution within a week or so.

Today we collected two lengths of carpet from San Miquel Bowls Club (thanksto David and Pat McEwan) which will be put down above the football pitch and will be used for mini golf and bowls practise.

We have also put up a notice which should be of interest to any golfers. A link is attached for anyone interested. Albie Lush Golf

garden waste disposal:

We have been notified that the garden waste containers will no longer be delivered to our Urbanizacion. The President and commitee are trying to establish why this has happened and what we can do as an alternative. We will keep you posted as soon as we have answers.

Postal delivery problems:

Some of our non residents appear not to have made arrangements for their buzons to be emptied. As a result some are now overflowing. Unfortunately if the Correos cannot deliver the rules could result in post being lost.

AGM change of venue:

Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to change the venue for the AGM on the 10th November 2011.

It will now be held at the HOTEL LA TORRE in Los Montesinos. First call will be at 15:00hrs and second call at 15:30hrs.

We value your attendance and opinions so please try to make it if you can.

Apologies for the late change but it was unavoidable in this case.

Montebello AGM

We have now booked the venue for this year’s AGM. It will be held on the 10th November at La Laguna Hotel. Registration will be at 16:00hrs. Please attend if you possibly can as your comments and votes are important.

Just to advise you that we have today fixed the date for this years AGM. It will be held on Thursday 10th. November at 16:00 for 16:30hrs.

The location has yet to be confirmed but we wanted to get the date in your diaries as soon as possible for those of you who need to make plans.

If you have any items for the meeting please send them as quickly as possible to either Carmen at NBA, Ian Davidson or myself to ensure inclusion into the agenda.

We congratulate David and Pat McEwan on winning our Petanca tournament. In a very enjoyable final Dave and Pat managed to beat Johannes and Susanne Bjorner with Charles and Audrey Marigold getting third place prize.

Our thanks to NBA, our Administrators, for their very generous sponsorship and to John Brookes who kindly gave us his time free of charge. His singing got everyone in the mood for a great evening which carried on into the dark with most people bringing along food and drink to make a night of the event.

Unfortunately we ran out of light and had to finish the tournament the next day but the whole experience bodes very well for the future. We learned a lot and hope to build on it in future events.

Our thanks also to those from further afield who signed up and came along helping to provide some great games to watch.
